Woodthorpe Day Nursery is a family run nursery and was opened in 1993 by the proprietors, Mr and Mrs Turner. Kerry Turner has been the manager since January 2013 and obtained her Early Years Professional status in 2011 in addition to the Business degree she had previously. Kerry is committed to seeing the nursery continue to develop and improve to the extremely high standards already achieved.

All nursery nurses are qualified to NVQ level 3 or level 5 in child development and continue to undertake training throughout their nursery careers.
In addition to our 5 spacious rooms we have a variety of outdoor spaces suited to all age groups in the nursery. All gardens have soft surfaced flooring and safety fencing throughout.
We utilise the Early Years Foundation Stage framework throughout our daily plans and facilitate adult and child led initiated learning opportunities which stimulate, motivate and educate.
